1. About work-kin
work-kin.com ("work-kin", "we", "us") is a review platform that allows working parents to anonymously share their experiences of employer policies relating to flexible working, remote working, maternity and paternity leave, and parental benefits.
By accessing or using work-kin.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. User-generated content
work-kin allows users to submit anonymous reviews of companies. By submitting a review, you confirm that:
- The review is based on your genuine personal experience as an employee or former employee of the company.
- The content is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- The content does not contain false statements of fact, defamatory statements, or malicious content.
- The content does not include personal data of other individuals (e.g. names of managers or colleagues).
- You are not submitting the review on behalf of a company about itself or a competitor.
3. Prohibited content
You must not submit content that:
- Is defamatory, misleading, or factually false.
- Is abusive, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory.
- Violates the privacy of any individual.
- Infringes any third-party intellectual property rights.
- Constitutes spam or is submitted for commercial purposes.
- Violates any applicable law or regulation.
4. Our rights regarding content
work-kin reserves the right to review, edit, or remove any content that we believe, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate. We are not obligated to monitor all content but will act on complaints in accordance with our legal obligations.
If you believe a review contains false or defamatory content, please use the "Report" button on the review or contact us at info@work-kin.com. We will investigate and respond promptly.
5. Disclaimer of liability
Reviews published on work-kin reflect the personal opinions of individual users. work-kin does not verify the accuracy of any review and is not responsible for the content posted by users.
work-kin is a platform operator and, in accordance with Section 5 of the Defamation Act 2013, is not the publisher of user-generated content. Our liability for such content is limited accordingly.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, work-kin shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.
6. Intellectual property
By submitting a review, you grant work-kin a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to publish, display, and distribute your content on the platform.
All other content on work-kin.com, including design, logos, and copy, is the property of work-kin and may not be reproduced without permission.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
